About the Linden Civic Association
About the LCA
The Linden Civic Association (LCA) was established in 2025 to represent the interests of the approximately 440 households that make up the Linden neighborhood in Silver Spring, Maryland.
The LCA brings residents together through quarterly membership meetings, community events, and advocacy on issues that matter to our neighborhood. Meeting dates are shared on this website, the LCA listserv, and our Facebook page.
The association operates under a set of bylaws. Annual membership is $10 per household, and dues-paying members are eligible to vote in LCA elections. Every Linden resident, regardless of whether they pay dues, is welcome to attend meetings, participate in events and committees, share ideas, and help shape the future of our neighborhood.

About Linden
Linden is a thriving, diverse community in vibrant Silver Spring, the second largest city in Maryland after Baltimore. Within our borders, you'll find everyone from families with young children and elders who have lived here for decades, to recent arrivals to the United States, hard-working professionals, entrepreneurs, and retirees.
Linden is not just a residential community; it's also home to many small and medium-sized businesses. Close to our hearts is Sniders, our local grocery store, whose deli brings shoppers from near and far. Several independent restaurants are sprinkled throughout the neighborhood, and there is a more traditional commercial area along Georgia Ave.
